Great Lakes Pet Expo

The 2012 Great Lakes Pet Expo was held on Saturday, February
4, 2012 at the State Fair Park in Milwaukee WI!  If you are looking
to immerse yourself in everything PETS, this is for you.  Vendors
from across the midwest will be there with everything from
gourmet chew bones to doggie water purification systems.  The
Expo is a family friendly event put on by the Alliance of Wisconsin
Animal Rehoming Efforts (AWARE).

The Great Lakes Pet Expo is a chance to meet many of the
state's shelter and rescue organizations and their adoptable
pets.  Bring the whole family for a day of fun. There are also
excellent seminars and demonstrations throughout the day.
Mark your calendars and have an enjoyable Family Day!

Dogtoberfest

Join us the third Saturday of October for our Eyes of Hope
Dogtoberfest.  We will be woofing it up inside and out.  There will
be food, fun, games and a CRITTERrrr MAN show for the young
and the young at heart!   The event is open to the public with a
special invitation to our formerly adopted dogs with their new
families.  A donated pet food item for the area food pantry gets
the donor a free beverage to boot!

Dogtoberfest 2011 was a fun-filled day.  The air was crisp, the
coffee was hot and the Brats/Burgers were oh so tasty.
CRITTERrrr MAN entertained, educated and painted paw prints
on any willing faces or hands, carnival games (even the
tennis-ball bob for the dogs) were a hit with all, and our own
Oxford Volunteer Fire Department volunteers were there to give
the kids a first-hand look at their firefighting vehicles.

Dogtoberfest           will be more exciting  with the addition of
vendor booths too!  If you are a vendor and would like to place a
booth at our next Dogtoberfest, contact Kris at (608) 547-5448,
or email her at kris@eyesofhopeshelter.com
